Our Story

Village Prime Meat Shoppe sits at Montauk Highway and Central Avenue, at the only traffic light in town. It's a family business, and we run it the way neighborhood butchers used to: you walk up to the counter, tell us what you're making, and we cut it for you on the spot.

Nothing is waiting in a cooler, pre-packed. Tell us how thick you want the chops, how much for eight people, how long to rest the roast. We trim every order by hand, vacuum-pack it if it's going in the freezer, and wrap it in brown butcher paper.

The sausage is made here. The mozzarella is made by hand. The catering trays come from the same family recipes we grew up eating, and the prepared foods are made fresh every day. The eggplant parm and the roasted peppers go first.

Most of the people at the counter are regulars, and we know them by name. If it's your first time, come say hello. It won't be your last.
